Overview
This route clearly separates the road journey from the mountain approach. The first day ends in Kelaat M'Gouna, avoiding an unrealistic single-day drive through Tizi n'Tichka, Kelaat M'Gouna and Aït Bouguemez.
From the Valley of Roses, the trail climbs gradually towards M'Goun's high plateaus. Acclimatisation days, the Tarkeddit plateau and the 4,071-metre ascent are supported by guides, muleteers and a camp cook.
